of portraits that provided most oh his income. Even his early pencil

The "Girl from
The Munich
Gallery Fassnacht offered Sperl the
opportunity to paint portraits from
photographs which they would collect from clients. This system proved
very
popular and kept Sperl busy. The following picture was painted from a photograph as a first experiment in
1964:
